We Never Turn Away from a Challenge
Installing remote live streaming webcams is as complex as it sounds. When you add the challenges of desert heat, careful design and planning become essential. For this particular installation, extensive coordination with the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) was required, along with custom network configuration, mapping, measuring, and even hiking. As with many remote live streaming webcam projects, this was not a one-size-fits-all solution. To ensure the success of this installation, we needed a system capable of withstanding extreme heat. This off-grid setup relied on solar power, fixed wireless to extend the network across mountain tops, and a custom audio solution to position a microphone near the nest hanging off a cliff.
